A dedicated team of Cardiologists and Cath lab technicians have a wide experience in management of complex cardiac problems. Cardiac ICU with central monitoring, multiformat bedside monitors, invasive pressure monitors and latest ventilators with intensivists and highly trained nursing staff are available round the clock. Cardiac ambulances available for quick transport of patients.

Cardio Thoracic Surgery:

Cardiothoracic surgery is a specialty dedicated to surgery of the chest. At Poona Hospital a broad range of procedures for cardiac and thoracic diseases are performed, these include

  • CABG
  • Valve Replacements
  • ASD/VSD/PDA closures
  • Surgery for other congenital cardiac anomalies
  • Device closures, complex vascular procedures etc

Coronary artery bypass surgeries (CABG) are performed for blockages in the arteries of the heart. This is used to treat patients with angina or who have a history of heart attacks. At Poona Hospital beating heart bypass surgery is performed.
